On the first sunny day in a while, I went out and bought some flowers, getting some irises and tulips. It turned out to be the first day of the season that the florist had them, and took several days before they opened up like this. I realize that I took it for granted that I could have a huge bunch of these flowers almost any day of the year in LA.
