A fistful of Liebermans

Whenever I'm in Canada, I can't help but constantly make the same joke to friends when I buy stuff there.
"Ok, so our total bill for dinner was $56.34"
"So how many Liebermans do I owe you?"
They being Canadians that don't follow our day-to-day political news, it almost always ends up with no one laughing except me. But I can't stop doing it.
