Day without Art

To honor World AIDS Day, I pulled this photo from my archives. It's from December 1, 1999, back when I worked at UCLA and the event was marked every year by covering art works around campus. I'll never forget the year before, when the day was dark and rainy, and how I felt walking through a forest of cloaked figures in the night as I left my office. It really drove the point home.
